The Project
In 1995 I began a project that would take me nine years to complete. I was looking for a challenging cross-stitch program and embarked on recreating the entire Sistine Chapel Ceiling. Throughout this website you will find the story behind it's creation as well as it's current status.
About the Artist
Joanna Lopianowski-Roberts was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In 1998 she moved with her husband to Texas and they have called Junction home for the past 5 years. Working as a software consultant keeps Joanna on the road most of the time. As such, the majority of the project was stitched in hotel rooms across the United States and Canada.
